The dream Gower home with stunning sea views that's just a stroll to the beach

Sit back and relax on a lounger on this patio and you may never want to get up again - until it starts raining maybe.

It might even be one of the best positioned sea view loungers in the area too, as the patio is attached to a pretty house that has uninterrupted views of the stunning Gower coast and soft sands of Oxwich Bay. All principal rooms and the idyllic south-facing garden look towards the sea in a most spectacular location on one of Wales', if not the UK's, most beautiful designated areas of outstanding natural beauty.

Pop over a road, skip through a few fields, if allowed of course, or wander down a few country lanes and you'll find yourself at the cliff top of the bay and all that the area can offer you in outdoor activities and general fun in the sun. Website, the beach guide, states that Oxwich Bay, on the southern coast of Gower, is a beach that genuinely does have something for everyone, with a host of activities both in and out of the sea.

The family-friendly beach has plenty of facilities including parking and shops and the gentle sloping sands make it ideal for paddling for smaller children. For a more peaceful day at the coast, Nicholaston Burrows is an extensive collection of sand dunes which form part of a nature reserve at the eastern end of the bay and is worth exploring.

Three Cliffs Bay and Tor are nearby beaches for exploring even further and if you're in search of coastal social experiences, the popular village of Mumbles with shops, cafes and restaurants is easily reached from this home, as well as a countryside littered with character pubs.

Back at the sunny, sea view patio and should you ever vacate the lounger, a beautiful abode is waiting for you inside.

The house is the ultimate in light and airy design and decor, with white as the constant backdrop to the soft accent colours inside, and the startling colours of nature, including the sparkling ocean, outside. The house is predominantly centred around a magnificent open-plan kitchen, dining and living room that has perfect flow - from the front of the house to the back, through a lounge area groaning with extra windows, and out onto that marvellous patio via sliding glass doors.

The result is so pleasing - the light cascades into the whole space, the sea can be seen by the cook at the back of the room and the wall of glass doors at the end frame the stunning sea view vista like a piece of mesmerising living art, better than any painting or photograph, however good they are.

The light blonde wood floors complement the contemporary white interior design scheme and add visual warmth as well as warmth underfoot.

And for extra cosiness on a winter's day the substantial log burner in the dining area can easily embrace, hug and heat the whole space.

From this engaging social area, you can maybe find a quieter atmosphere in the adjoining but separate, spacious lounge. You can catch a glimpse of this extra reception space through an internal door that boasts glass as its main material and this makes perfect design sense, not only teasing you to discover the space beyond but letting light flow happily and be shared through both spaces.

The lounge is a generous space that flows to the garden and maybe the fireplace armchair has the best spot in the room whatever season? (Dawsons Mumbles / nichecom)

The lounge can boast its own wall of glass and sliding doors out to the patio and the views. A well positioned armchair next to the fire is the perfect spot for shade in the summer and warmth in the winter while still gazing at the sea views and coastal vistas outside uninterrupted.

There's no shortage of light sources and connections to the views at this dream home with every available opportunity to add windows, doors and balconies eagerly taken.

The kitchen has its own sliding doors to the front garden meaning this huge space is double glass ended. It might mean more window cleaning but it also means a bright space that can embrace and invite in all the available and abundant light at both ends.

The kitchen has white glossy units with many sunken into the white walls, meaning this contemporary space is integrated into the interior design scheme with no visual breaks or hurdles to stop the seamless flow of white.

The units' gloss finish helps to bounce light around the space but arguably it doesn't need any assistance - this is a room bathed in a huge amount of sun and light, as well as sea views.

Upstairs does not miss out on the clever design to connect indoors with outdoors either. The master bedroom, that also runs from front to back of the property, has the ensuite and separate walk-in wardrobe at the rear of the space and a picture window at the front.

But the bedroom next door, although not offering the added extras that the master can, is surely smug that it comes with an added private balcony- a special spot to soak in those spectacular sea views in your PJs if you want as the road is far away and down a slope to still give you total privacy.

Upstairs the house has four double bedrooms in total and downstairs can also offer a separate and handy home office, cloakroom and utility.

The home office is a handy extra room or the garage could be converted into even more office space - sure the cars won't mind too much (Dawsons Mumbles / nichecom)

There's a large garage that could easily be converted into a larger office, media room, playroom or annexe, depending on planning permission and a new owner's requirements. And the cars shouldn't be too sad as they have plenty of space to rest on the spacious driveway, accompanied by rural views while you relax and revel in the coastal views from that perfect patio.

Hall Meadow, located in one of Gower's most desirable villages according to the estate agent, is on the market for a guide price of £925,000. Call the Mumbles branch of Dawsons on 01792 367301 to find out more.
