The distance travelled by QPR, Brentford and Millwall players during the international break

Reading's players will travel further than any other Championship club's this international break - covering enough miles to circle the world between them.

As the end of the season fast approaches, clubs are looking for any potential advantage they may have over their rivals.

Unfortunately for Reading, the international break has just handed the other clubs fighting against relegation a big one.

Royals players heading out on international duty are set to travel a massive 27,680 miles between them.

Not only is that more miles than any other team in the relegation battle, but it’s more than any other team in the Championship.

Former Brentford star Chris Mepham opens up on turmoil caused by Chelsea and QPR rejection

Wigan’s players have the least amount of travelling this international break out of the teams fighting not to join Bolton and Ipswich in League One next season at just 293 miles.

Those miles will be travelled by the club’s sole international representative this break - Wales’ Lee Evans.

Millwall’s players, meanwhile, face 11,113 miles of travelling this international break - fewer than half that of Reading.

Matt Maziga will be travelling the most this international break with an estimated round trip of 9,966 miles.

His USA side have home games against Ecuador and Chile. Convenient for players in MLS, but not so much for those playing in England.

What the EFL's summer transfer window statement means for QPR, Brentford, Millwall & others

Yakou Meite has the next longest trip at 6,384 miles followed by Andy Yiadom at 6,342 miles.

The distances have been calculated as a round trip from each player’s home ground, to the stadiums where their national team will play and back again.
