The disastrous Cardiff City player ratings as awful Bluebirds blown away by Swansea City

Alex Smithies 4

Couldn't do much about Michael Obafemi's opening goal and was largely assured in commanding his box. But the goals kept flying past him and he was helpless.

Perry Ng 5

Made the tackle of the day when he sprinted across to deny Obafemi, who was clean through on goal. He scythed the Swans man down just before pulling the trigger.

Aden Flint 3

Struggled far more than he has done in recent games. Misplaced a few passes, misjudged the odd lofted ball into him as well. Just looked off it.

Mark McGuinness 4

Largely did alright until the game opened up and then things got a bit stretched. Still part of a defence which conceded four, though.

Cody Drameh 5 (star man)

Looked Cardiff's brightest outlet on the right. The hosts had most joy down his flank and he created a good chance for Hugill with a nice cross. Also made a decent chance for himself but his left-footed effort was mishit.

Tommy Doyle 4

Just a little below the standard we have come to expect from him. Miscontrolled the ball a couple of times and his usually pinpoint crossing was just off the mark. Booked for a late challenge on Hannes Wolf.

Ryan Wintle 5

Made a wonderful intervention to stop Wolf, who was clean through on goal. Didn't see much of the ball but was assured enough mopping up in front of the backline.

Joe Ralls 4

Was a little bit scrappy and inaccurate at times. Blazed a decent chance over the bar and just couldn't find the killer passes when going forward.

Joel Bagan 3

Just reverted to the Bagan of old, a little. Was a little cautious and nervous up against Cyrus Christie and opted to turn back to his own goal too many times. Swans found a lot of joy down his side.

Jordan Hugill 3

Won a number of headers and aerial duels, but missed gilt-edged chances. Scuffed a volleyed effort on goal just 10 yards out. Also miscontrolled 12 yards from goal at the start of the second half before he later headed wide from a free header.

Mark Harris 3

Had the thankless task of chasing the ball endlessly down the channels. Fashioned Cardiff a nice little break with some neat footwork in the first half but tried a little too much and was dispossessed.

Subs

Rubin Colwill (Doyle 58) 5 - Looked the most likely to create something when he came on.

Isaak Davies (Harris 58) 4 - Didn't do a great deal of note to change things when he was introduced.

Uche Ikpeazu (Hugill 70) 4 - Brought a bit of brawn but couldn't produce at the end.
