The Diego Laxalt Celtic transfer bonus that's still on the table

Neil Lennon seems to have finally found his coveted left-back in Diego Laxalt on Deadline Day.

The Milan left-back is on the verge of joining the Parkhead side on loan as he is set to have his medical in London, before arriving in Glasgow later tonight.

Celtic are reportedly negotiating with the Serie A side about including an option to buy next summer, with Milan demanding a fee of £9million.

But there is another question that still needs to be resolved.

The two clubs are set to meet in the Europa League group stage this season and, under normal circumstances, a player would not be allowed to play against his parent club.

But Sky Sports claim that is yet to be decided with Celtic hoping Milan might waive that privilege as the clubs continue their negotiations.

The 27-year-old Uruguayan is a versatile defender who predominantly plays as a left-wing back, but can also play as a winger and midfielder.

Lennon is looking to provide competition for Greg Taylor at the left-back position.
