Such is the lesson US star Joe Jonas has now learned – after his pre-lockdown preparations left wife-of-one-year Sophie Turner nonplussed.
Speaking as The Best of Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard went live on Global Player this weekend, Joe revealed his British Game of Thrones missus was pretty miffed that he’d slipped up.
In fact Sophie, 24, is now giving the despised treat the full-on Sansa Stark cold shoulder.
“We’ve got like every British snack you can imagine,” said Joe, 30.
“We got a lot of Galaxy. Then there’s the one you just do not touch... the Fruit and Nut.
"I learned the hard way that is not The One. I bought it for Sophie and she wasn’t thrilled. The classic is where it’s at.”
With yet-to-be confirmed reports a stork might soon bring them a little Stark, Joe’s lucky it’s only chocolate landing him in the doghouse.
If Sophie had gherkin cravings, he’d have found himself in a real pickle.
