Well, I probably should have written this a few days ago, but I wasn’t quite aware just how farmable Destiny 2 had made Trials of Osiris with its new loot and focusing changes. Turns out…god rolls are extremely farmable now, and as such, all players, even mediocre PvP scrubs like myself, can farm for Trials drops, even if you may miss out on Flawless Adept rolls.
In short, if you are missing a gun from collections, you turn in random Trials engrams to Rahool until you get that gun. Then, once something is in your collection, you can pay one engram, and a ton of glimmer and legendary shards to focus it into one specific weapon. And you can do that for any “live” weapon this season, though a few have been subbed out like the Fusion Rifle.
For the ones that are here though? Here are the Trials god rolls you should be farming for. And remember, they also got new perks this season:
The Messenger (Kinetic Pulse Rifle)

Outlaw or Rapid Hit/Desperado – Desperado remains the wholly unique perk on this gun, and the one you’re going to want to use in combination with a fast reload mod. I’ve got Outlaw, some prefer Rapid Hit.
Moving Target/Headseeker – This is my Adept roll, and I really do love it. Headseeker feels great on this archetype of pulse rifle and you can two burst enemies if you play it right. It just feels good.
Outlaw or Rapid Hit/Kill Clip – If you just want the pure damage after kill, but Desperado is probably going to be better.
Eye of Sol (Kinetic Sniper Rifle)

Moving Target/Opening Shot or Snapshot Sights – A good PvP pair for this one, whichever second column perk you choose.
Surplus/Snapshot – I mean, you want handing? Here’s some handling. I know Surplus has some haters, but I’m a fan, generally speaking.
Ensemble/Vorpal – I mean, it’s not Firing Line, but I can see this being a somewhat interesting PvE roll, depending on the context.
Shayura’s Wrath (Void SMG)

Heating Up/Kill Clip – This is my favorite by far, solid stability and then it just melts when Kill Clip is up. You also want to be extending range as far as you can on this thing.
Tunnel Vision/Kill Clip – These two are synergistic as they both trigger on reload after kill. But I just prefer Heating Up in practice.
Quickdraw/Harmony – This is an interesting little roll that you could pair with a quick shotgun or sniper kill in the other slot, then bust out Harmony to start shredding without needing to trigger Kill Clip.
Igneous Hammer (Solar Hand Cannon)

Rapid Hit/Rampage – Yes, this combo has been nerfed a bit from its glory days, but it’s still probably the top pick for this weapon.
Outlaw or Subsistence/Rampage – If you can’t get Rapid Hit, then I would go for either of these two paired with Rampage instead.
Quickdraw/Snapshot or Moving Target – Since Quickdraw no longer gives you a zillion bonuses on its own, you will have to pair it with one of these other two
Killing Wind/Anything– Killing Wind is a pretty top tier PvP perk and the handling it gives this archetype will be welcome.
Reed’s Regret (Stasis Linear Fusion Rifle)

Clown Cartridge/Firing Line – And here’s our new boy here, who has a number of great PvP rolls including this one.
Triple Tap/Vorpal – Firing Line is actually bugged right now so Vorpal is doing more damage, and is not reliant on teammates. You can also do Clown/Vorpal or Triple Tap/Firing Line as well, to mix it up. Personal preference.
Sola’s Scar (Solar Sword)

Relentless/Vorpal – Just a good damage combo, but other swords may do it better, as this isn’t really what a caster is for.
Tireless/Chain Reaction – The only sword to have Chain Reaction because of its heavy projectile, and doing so will get you ammo back on kill. Not enough ammo, but still, it’s a good combo. I think caster swords may get buffed in the future too.
