If Ed and Lorraine Warren have taught me one thing, it is to not mess with their artifacts. So it isn’t surprising that Annabelle, their demonically possessed Raggedy Ann doll, isn’t going well. But there are some lies circulating online that I do not think Annabelle would take kindly to.
If you remember the film version in Annabelle, lucky for you that the real Annabelle is not that scary looking. She’s just a large Raggedy Ann doll that is known for tormenting people, including a man who reportedly mocked her at the Warren’s home. But for some reason, The Warren Occult Museum in Connecticut takes Annabelle out on tour. It is to raise money for the museum but also I would not go and see Annabelle willingly!
Recently, Annabelle was in New Orleans from May 13-14. On May 15, The Nottoway Plantation in Louisiana caught fire and was almost completely destroyed. Coincidence? I think not! That moment was a good thing. We don’t really need to “honor” plantations. So good on Annabelle. But the tour in general has caused quite a stir online.
When it was rumored that Annabelle was in Washington D.C., TikToks began to circulate that she was missing. Now, if she wants to actually go missing in the White House, that’s Annabelle’s mission. But the reality is that she wasn’t missing at all. Or so we have been told. I would not put it past Annabelle to go on a little side quest and tell everyone to keep it quiet. But alas. The museum said she is safe and sound.
Post the D.C. debunking, others said she was actually missing in Chicago. This was also proven false by the museum itself when they responded to the rumors. On their Facebook page, they wrote “It’s a Rumor… Annabelle has NOT been stolen. The doll is safely in place at the Warren Occult Museum.”
Let’s either take her right to the White House or leave her be

Now, I am not someone who willingly puts myself into these situations with possessed objects. I used a Ouija board once, watched The Exorcist, and said “never again.” But there are others who want to test fate. They go and see Annabelle and test her willingness to hurt someone, they taught her, and they learn the hard way.
So Annabelle going out into the world and going on tour doesn’t really seem like something I want to be a part of. Now, if she wanted to take a pit stop at the White House though, I’d enjoy watching the President interact with the doll. I wonder if she’d feel at home there right now?
Whatever is actually going on with Annabelle, we know that she is not actually missing (so they say) and that she was in Louisiana a day before the plantation burned down. So there is a lot to talk about while she’s on this tour and maybe we all should just be aware that Annabelle is not one to mess with.
