Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest for Sunday, August 16.
Where does Winks’ future lie?
It wouldn’t be summer without some of Tottenham’s players being linked with moves away from north London.
On this occasion, it’s Harry Winks who’s been linked with a £40million move to Manchester City, bringing his role at Spurs into close view.
The 24-year-old split last season between defensive midfield and central midfield, but it’s important the England international secures a long-term future in one position.
Where his future lies of course rests with Mourinho, so which direction is the Portuguese likely to go?

How Hojbjerg can become new Matic
Nemanja Matic has been something of a favourite for Jose Mourinho over the years, playing a vital role in his sides.
The Serbian played under the Portuguese at Chelsea before following him to Old Trafford, where he remains to this day.
With Matic now 32 though, he doesn’t quite represent the sort of option Mourinho could target again at Spurs.
But he could look to develop a new Matic, and having finally secured his move from Southampton, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg looks set to be the man to fill that role.

United urged to ditch Sancho and go for Kane
Manchester United’s pursuit of Jadon Sancho looks set to rumble on throughout the summer, with Borussia Dortmund standing firm on their stance over the England international.
But, according to one man, the Red Devils are going after the wrong player, and should instead turn their attentions towards Harry Kane.
It’s a suggestion that won’t please Spurs fans – and coming from Arsenal legend Paul Merson, probably even more so – but it is one that some have perhaps feared for some time.
"I just think with £100m, why don't you go and get Kane from Tottenham? Over 38 games, Harry Kane will score more goals for you than Sancho,” Merson said.
