Nottingham Forest would have to offer a deal worth about £1.5m to tempt reported striker target Guillaume Hoarau, it is claimed.
The Reds have been linked with a move for the Young Boys forward, whose contract runs out next summer.
But reports in Switzerland say it would take a considerable contract offer to pique Hoarau’s interest.
Swiss newspaper Blick say: “Nottingham Forest is interested. For a transfer, the Englishmen would have to meet some requirements.”
They add, in a translated report: “Hoarau’s consultant, Michel Urscheler, confirms Nottingham’s interest in Nau (another Swiss media outlet): ‘But there is no offer. So there is nothing concrete.’

“And he suggests that the English would have to offer a contract over a year and a half, and a salary of about two million francs (about £1.5m) to seriously arouse (Hoarau’s) interest.
“For half a season - as long as (his) contract is still running at YB - Hoarau will hardly leave his Bernese nest and move to the island (UK).
“The player himself does not look at the cards, just says that his focus is solely on finding his way back to his old ability - ‘everything else we see in the winter break’.”
The 35-year-old was top scorer in the Swiss top-flight last season as his club made it back-to-back titles.
However, he has suffered with injury this term, netting once in 11 games for Young Boys, whose campaign kicked off in July.
