The day nothing happened

Certain 56-year-olds may beg to differ, but 11 April 1954 has been identified as the only day in the 20th century in which nothing of any major significance happened. At all. No major event, no major birth, no major death ... no X Factor voting controversy. Zilch. Nada. Not a sausage. At least, this is according to William Tunstall-Pedoe's search engine, True Knowledge. "The irony is that the day is interesting for being exceptionally boring," said WTP. The Sun today mocked up a front page on how it might have covered this momentous day, had it been around in 1954 – "er.....". Stick it in the diary – we'll have a centenary celebration on 11 April 2054. When we'll mark the occasion by doing naff all.
