We've no doubt that many homes across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife will already be looking fairly festive and decked out in Christmas decorations.
We're willing to bet that there are others who are putting the whole thing off with the big day still more than three weeks away.
But what really is the best time to put your Christmas tree and decorations up?
Those at our sister title Birmingham Live reckon the most popular day to do some decorating in 2019 will be December 7, mainly because it falls on a Saturday and many people will be off work.
In years gone by the tree was not put up until the afternoon of Christmas Eve – but we're all too busy wrapping presents then, surely.
And if you've spent some cash on your stunning Christmas tree you might want to spend a bit longer looking at it.
Others believe the tree should go up at the start of Advent – the period leading up to Christmas. This covers the four Sundays leading up to the big day, and begins on the Sunday closest to November 30 – so this was 1 December this year.
Some prefer to decorate their houses 12 days before Christmas and others wish to wait until the third Sunday of Advent.
