Liverpool make decision on Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno's futures

Liverpool are likely to confirm the future of striker Daniel Sturridge and full-back Alberto Moreno next month.

Sturridge arrived at Anfield in 2013 from Premier League rivals Chelsea, while the Spanish defender joined the Reds from boyhood club Sevilla in 2014.

Both players' respective contracts are now set to expire at the end of June, and Premier League rules order that clubs must submit their retained and released list by the third Saturday in May.

This means Liverpool will have now likely informed both Sturridge and Moreno and the league of their decision.

The confirmed list is then traditionally made public on the first Friday of June (7th), though the club could choose to announce a conclusion earlier.

With Liverpool set to face Tottenham in the Champions League final on June 1, any announcements are likely to follow the outcome of the European showdown.

Moreno has featured just five times for Liverpool this season with Andy Robertson the German coach's preferred starting left-back.

While the Englishman has made 27 appearances in all competitions and scored four goals.

Both Sturridge and Moreno are likely to be in Jurgen Klopp's squad which travels to Marbella for a warm-weather training camp on Monday.
