The date Hibs are to learn their fixtures for the upcoming Scottish Premiership campaign

Hibs will learn their fixtures for the 2020/21 Scottish Premiership season next week, according to a report.

The new league season is set to get underway on the weekend August 1 and 2 and clubs will find out who they'll be facing when, when the calendar is released next Friday, as reported by the Scottish Sun.

Matches are initially set to start behind closed doors although it's hoped that fans could return to games sooner rather than later.

Hearts have been ejected from the top flight after league reconstruction plans failed, however they, along with Partick Thistle, have lodged a joint petition to the Court of Session in Edinburgh in a bid to halt relegations – or claw in £10million in compensation combined should this fail to happen.

The Championship season is not expected to start until October, and fixtures will be announced at a later date as a result.

Hibs, along with Hearts, have been offered to use of Murrayfield Stadium at the start of the season with the venue having the potential to be used as a 'bio-dome'.

Due to its size could allow more fans to attend while social distancing measures remain in place.
