The date Chelsea's 2019/20 home kit will be unveiled & when it could be worn for the first time

Chelsea supporters will have noticed a number of photos of next season's Nike home shirt doing the rounds in recent days.

With the club switching things up for this campaign with red and white stripes featuring on the blue kit, it appears that the club's latest design will be rather bold.

The images seen over the past few weeks feature an all-over graphic print that is inspired by Chelsea's Stamford Bridge home.

There is also a change on the collar of the current design with Nike opting for a V-neck, while the back of the shirt will feature a red panel with 'CFC' printed on it.

Given that the initial photos of the shirt do appear to legitimate now that Eden Hazard, Cesar Azpilicueta and Ethan Ampadu have been spotted wearing it, Chelsea fans will get to see it up close and personal very soon.

In fact, it will be 7am on Thursday when it will be officially launched as the club's online shop now features a countdown timer for the release of the latest design.

The Blues do tend to unveil their new home kits towards the end of the season and they did wear the club's current shirt on the final day of the 2017/18 campaign at Newcastle United.

As Chelsea are sticking with Nike and Yokohama Tyres as the main sponsor once again, Hazard and Co could very well be in the brand new home strip on Sunday against Watford in their final home game of the league season.

A number of clubs traditionally do this and the Blues have been known to do it in the past.
