Now officers have shared images of a selection of some of the 50 knives that were left in a bin at Cheadle Heath Police Station in Stockport.

The haul includes several large kitchen knives and hunting knives.

Sharing details on social media, officers wrote: "This is a fantastic result, thank you to the Stockport community for your continued support, as any knife deposited is one less on our streets, and more importantly, one more that can't be used as part of a crime."
