The daily Leeds TV workout that will keep you fit - and raise money for the NHS

A company from Leeds is looking to keep the nation fit during lockdown and raise money for the NHS by running a daily workout that will be broadcast on TV.

Leeds-based health and fitness magazine BESTFIT has teamed up with FreeSports to bring free 20-minute workouts to the country's TV screens.

People can take part in the workouts by tuning into Freesports at 8am or 4pm on weekdays.

BESTFIT is encouraging people of all ages to take part and the company says that all advertising revenue will be donated to the NHS.

Workouts will be run by the likes of MMA trainer Mike Wood, professional golfer Carly Booth, former S Club 7 member Hannah Spearritt, personal trainer and model Caroline Pearce and yoga expert and Formula 1 TV presenter Alex Legouix.

They will also be offering tips on nutrition, home work outs and mental health.

Richard Webb, chief operating officer of FreeSports, said: "We are delighted to broadcast daily workouts to the UK population and donate all advertising revenue to the NHS.

"There are huge physical and mental health benefits of exercise, even more so during these unprecedented times and a home workout brought to you by FreeSports and BESTFIT each morning will be the best way to kick start your day.”

FreeSports is available free to air on Sky HD (422), Virgin TV HD (553), Freeview (64), Freesat (252), TalkTalk/BT (64) and online via the FreeSports Player.
