The Da Vinci Code stage adaption is coming to Glasgow's King's Theatre next year

Glaswegian fans of Dan Brown's uber-popular thriller novels (and movies) are in for a real treat with the news that The Da Vinci Code stage adaption is coming to the city.

Based on the best-selling book, the epic stage thriller comes the King's Theatre as part of its world premiere UK tour for a six night run in September next year.

Adapted by Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel, the adaption follows Robert Langdon as he investigates a brutal murder inside the Louvre museum in Paris.

Joined by fellow cryptologist Sophie Neveu, they embark on a pulse-racing journey through the streets of Europe as they attempt to solve a series of riddles leading to the works of Leonardo Da Vinci and beyond, deep into the vault of history.

About the stage adaption, author Dan Brown said: “I am thrilled that The Da Vinci Code is being adapted for the stage, and excited to see the unique potential of live theatre enhance this story.

"The team making the production has been faithful to the book, but will also bring something new for the audience, in what is certain to be a gripping, fast-paced stage thriller and a thoroughly entertaining show.”

The Da Vinci Code runs from September 20 to September 25 next year.
