This won’t be the first time in 2019 brothers have met in the postseason as Chris and Kyle Long were on NFL teams that battled in its postseason.

Chris and Kyle Long

Chris Long of the Eagles and Kyle Long of the Bears met in last season’s NFL playoffs with Chris getting the victory. “They tell us to tune out the outside, you know, media, stuff like that, but you can’t tune out your family,” Kyle Long told NFL Network before the game. “Unfortunately, I’m playing against my family this week. You’ve got to look at it as just another dude out there. He kind of looks like me, possibly, but on Sunday, we’re not related, so I’ve got to focus on my job.” He added: “…He’s on the other team, so I gotta figure out a way to beat him.”
The Kendricks

The NFC Championship played in 2018 between the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles pitted Minnesota’s Eric Kendricks and Philadelphia’s Mychal Kendricks. The brothers had faced each other three times before, twice while Mychal was at Cal and Eric at UCLA, and once in the NFL. “It’s crazy for my family. I honestly got a little emotional just thinking about everyone who has helped us get in this position, everything we’ve done,” Eric Kendricks told USA TODAY Sports. “It’s pretty crazy that we get to live our dreams and have a chance to go to the Super Bowl.”

The Jones brothers faced off for a shot at the Super Bowl was in 2015, when Chandler and Arthur Jones met in the AFC Championship. Chandler’s New England Patriots advanced and eventually beat the Seattle Seahawks in the title game.
