Welcome to the first of our live operas streamed direct from Glyndebourne, the world-famous East Sussex base of Glyndebourne Festival Opera. On Sunday 10 June we live-streamed Leoš Janáček's The Cunning Little Vixen, in a new production directed by Melly Still and starring Lucy Crowe as Vixen Sharp Ears.

Join us at 6pm to chat live to our critics Kate Molleson and George Hall, who will be watching the opera with you and talking and tweeting about it during the interval and chewing it over afterwards. Do you agree with Andrew Clements' – "the Vixen's quick-witted independence and feistiness isn't projected at all until ... the second half", or Fiona Maddocks – "musical standards, under Vladimir Jurowski, were exceptional. The resident London Philharmonic Orchestra made the most of their ravishing orchestral interludes. Each effect or sound remained glittering and discrete. This is a score that gleams rather than glows."? The Telegraph's Rupert Christiansen praised Jurowski's "gloriously confident conducting", and admired Melly Still's production that "is cannily successful at holding this delicate balance between whimsy and mysticism", while the Independent also admired Jurowski and the LPO and called the production "breathtakingly lovely... magical."

Meanwhile, you can find the synopsis and full cast and creative details here, or read ahead of the broadcast about the opera's genesis and the extraordinary beauty of its music here, look at images from the production, watch the trailer or watch this short video about the challenges the dancers faced in this imaginative and beautifully designed production.
