The Cube viewers accuse brothers of 'cheating' way to £50,000 prize fund

ITV The Cube viewers were fuming after claiming two brothers who won the £50,000 prize money 'cheated.'

Tayif and his younger brother Mo from Manchester had made it all way to the final challenge after performing brilliantly throughout the show.

Their final task was to move all the coloured balls from one side of the cube to the other .

However, rolling the balls down a slide to each other they were allowed only to grab the ball once it had reached the end.

Miraculously, with a nail-biting 0.4 seconds to spare, they seemed to beat The Cube much to the astonishment of everyone in the audience, including host Phillip Schofield who covered his mouth in shock.

But fans couldn't believe what they were seeing.

One viewer said: "Nah get lost that was clearly won by cheating. I had to rewind. He took the ball before it got to the red!! They failed other people for that! #thecube"

Another agreed saying: "My thoughts actually. When I saw that back I said it wasn't in the red. Players were penalised last week for that."

A third asked: "Why didn’t #thecube pick that up?!"

While a fourth fumed: "Shambles."

Elsewhere, another mused: “That guy on the cube took one of the balls way too early, something not right there #thecube.”

A spokesperson for the production told The Mirror: "All Cube games are overseen by an independent adjudicator.

"In this instance the game was checked from various camera angles in the studio during filming and the contestant did indeed catch the ball in the red zone and their attempt was a success."

The Cube host Phillip made his big TV comeback last month after a summer break from our screens.

Hosting a celebrity special of the show to raise money for UNICEF he was joined by the Masked Singer's Joel Dommett and X Factor alum and pop singer Olly Murs for the episode.

Rising star Joel made some amusing remarks about Olly's very tight clothes and also spoke of his adoration for Phillip.

However, Joel made fans cringe as he took on a solo challenge in The Cube while his mum Penny was present in the audience.

The presenter agreed to take on 'Colour Match' which saw a bar rolled over light sensors but must be timed to flash red as it passes over each sensor.

As Joel got to grips with the task task, Olly advised: "You don't want to get too excited and go too fast."

To which Joel responded cheekily saying: "It's good advice, Olly, in many things."
