The Crystal Palace record that puts them above Everton and Newcastle in Premier League history

Crystal Palace may not have been in the Premier League in every season since its inception, but they are in the top ten when it comes to their away form in the division.

Despite being relegated from the top flight on four different occasions and not finishing above tenth in the Premier League, the Eagles are in tenth place with an away win percentage of 27%.

That is according to a study by Spreadex, which looks at the all-time home and away records of each club in the division since 1992.

Palace just make the top ten with an average points per game record of 1.09 away from home, which is better than many clubs who have been in the Premier League for more seasons, including Everton, Newcastle United, Southampton and West Ham United.

Who scored the most Premier League goals at certain ages?

The Eagles have the same away win percentage as Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa in ninth and eighth respectively, although the Midlands side have an average points per game record of 1.11 on the road.

Leeds United are in seventh position for away record, despite a long-term absence from the Premier League, with a 30% win percentage on the road.

Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are in the top six, with the Red Devils coming out on top with a win percentage of 52% away from home, and an average of 1.82 points per game.

United also top the table for all-time home record in the Premier League, with the Red Devils having a 71% win percentage at Old Trafford since the inception of the league.

Arsenal are second for home record, with a win percentage of 64%, ahead of Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Spurs.

Leeds, Newcastle, Blackburn and Everton make up the top ten for home records.

But the all-time home record table does not make good reading for Palace, with the Eagles fifth from bottom for their record at Selhurst Park in the Premier League.
