One of Liverpool’s oldest pubs, The Crown on Lime Street, has reopened following an extensive refurbishment.
The revamp has gave the iconic city pub an ‘exciting’ new look and a brand new food and drink menu.
Neil Marriott-Smith, general manager at the Crown said: “It’s been fantastic seeing the pub come together over the last couple of weeks.
“We can’t wait to welcome everyone back and see our guest’s reactions over the coming days.
“There have been some big changes and we’re confident they’ll go down well with the people of Liverpool.”
The new look Crown offers an entire new food menu for visitors.
Guests can now tuck into stone-baked pizzas, burgers and tapas including drunken mushrooms, fried chicken bites and cheese ‘n’ bacon fries.
Joining the new food menu there is also an extensive drinks menu, boasting craft beers and ciders.

Neil said: “Being ideally located, right in the heart of Liverpool, our pub is the perfect spot to get together with friends, family or colleagues to relax and unwind over good food amongst a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
“The menu won’t be the only changes our regulars will notice, our interior has undergone a full revamp which has enhanced the pub but retained its much-loved character and charm.
“The pub has a rich history which dates all the way back to 1859 and is an amazing example of a traditional Edwardian Gin Palace.
“We’ve worked hard to give the interior a refresh whilst maintaining the pub’s traditional features including its beautifully decorated ceiling”.
