The Croatia v Wales team news you can expect to see

Wales have received a boost ahead of their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Croatia and Hungary as Ryan Giggs revealed Ben Davies is in contention for both matches.

The left-back was not included in the initial 28-man squad as he was set to undergo an operation for a hernia problem.

But he was called up to the international set-up, initially to feature in the Croatia game.

And Giggs has stated that the Tottenham defender could now play a part in both of Wales' next two Euro 2020 qualifiers.

"It's a bonus. I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago and it looked like he'd have the op straight after the Champions League final," said Giggs.

"It's an issue that he's had for about nine months or so now. He just wanted to get it done.

"The surgeon fell ill so the operation was put back and then it was put back again because Ben wanted to be involved in both games.

"Originally he would only be involved in the first game, but now he's available for both games."

Swansea City's - who is edging ever closer to a move to Manchester United - is in contention to feature following the recent death of his father.

And Real Madrid's Gareth Bale is also fit, as is Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu.

On Ampadu, Giggs commented: "He's in contention. He was on the bench for Chelsea (against Arsenal) but we've got to be careful, he's not played a lot of football.

"I was keen to get him back in the group and he's not been in the last few camps. But he's such a good player and a born leader, and you can see him directing even the older players around. We'll just have to wait and see."

Aaron Ramsey, James Chester and Paul Dummett all missed out on the squad due to injury.

As for Croatia, they will be without Barcelona man Ivan Rakitic and Eintracht Frankfurt striker Ante Rebic for the visit of Giggs' troops.

Predicted line-ups

Croatia (4-3-3/4-3-2-1) - Livakovic; Jedvaj, Lovren, Vida, Barisic; Brozovic, Modric, Kovacic; Brekalo, Perisic, Kramaric.

Wales (4-3-3) - Hennessey; Roberts, Mepham, Lawrence, Davies; Vaulks, Allen, Smith; Brooks, Bale, James.
