The Crimean port of Sevastopol, a strategic link between Russia and Syria

Five years ago, Russia annexed the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea, sparking a profound crisis in relations between Moscow and the West. Key to the annexation was the port of Sevastopol, where Russia's Black Sea Fleet has been based since Soviet times. Since the annexation, Sevastopol has proven crucial in supporting Russia's operations in Syria. Our correspondent reports on the increasingly close ties between Syria and the Crimean peninsula.
