A new pizza kitchen is opening in the Northern Quarter tonight, and is giving away 100 free slices to celebrate.
8s Pizza is the result of a collaboration between Rudy's creator Jim Morgan and Jonny Heyes of Common, Port Street Beer House and Indy Man Beer Con.
The brand new pizza project will take over the kitchen at popular bar Common most Thursdays from now on, offering 21-inch pizzas served either whole, or by the slice.
The New York-style pizzas are cooked slowly at a lower temperature, giving the crust more time to develop.
The dough is also slow-fermented for maximum base integrity - it's designed to be folded and held in one hand (a drink in the other hand, naturally) without making a mess.
The almost-every-Thursday pizza residency at Common will officially launch tonight, Thursday June 6, at 7pm.
The first 100 people to buy any drink at the bar will be given a ticket for a free slice of pizza - it's first come, first served, so you'll have to be quick.
8s pizza is designed to be a social pizza, available to buy by the slice or as a whole 21-inch beast if you're in a larger group (or really, really hungry).
Common is located at 39-41 Edge Street.
