The Cowboys won’t be making an announcement on Jason Garrett on Monday and fans are livid

What the heck is going on in Dallas?

By now we all assumed Jason Garrett’s long run as the head coach of the Cowboys would be over.

Dallas wrapped up its disappointing season in fitting fashion by beating the Redskins to finish 8-8 and out of the playoffs. After the game it felt like there would be an announcement at any moment saying the Cowboys were moving on from Garrett. But that hasn’t happened.

While a number of teams have already made moves with their head coaches, it appears Jerry Jones is taking his time a bit with Garrett. There was an erroneous report Monday morning that said the whole coaching staff has been fired, which isn’t true. In fact, there might be a chance that Garrett doesn’t lose his job.

Garrett reportedly told his assistant coaches who have expiring contracts that they could talk to other teams for other jobs and Garrett spoke with his team and thanked the players for all they did for him.

That all feels like he’s a goner, but then he had a meeting with Jones and following the meeting the team told reporters there would be no announcement on Monday:
