The COVID-19 testing centres open on Reconciliation Day

As Canberrans enjoy a public holiday on this Reconciliation Day Monday, most COVID-19 testing centres remain open.

This includes the Garran Surge Centre which opened at 7.30am and will closes at 9pm.

Garran surge centre (7.30am - 9pm)

  • Children of any age can be tested here.
  • This clinic can only be accessed on foot.
  • Parking is available at the centre.
  • Rapid antigen tests are available for household contacts who cannot obtain them from their workplace or where they would experience financial hardship.
  • This clinic includes a dedicated access and sensory testing service for people with disability, mental health condition, younger children or those that need additional support when getting tested. You can also bring your support staff, volunteer or carer with you when you get tested. If you wish to make use of this service please make this known to staff on arrival.
  • The COVID-19 walk-in clinic is located on the northern end of the COVID-19 Surge Centre on Garran Oval.
  • It has a separate entrance to the testing clinic (you should see the signs for this entrance) for COVID positive patients who need treatment for non life threatening injury or illness or further assistance managing their COVID-19 symptoms.
  • No appointment is required.

Mitchell drive-through (10.30am - 6pm)

  • Children aged five years and over can be tested here.
  • This clinic cannot be accessed from public transport or on foot.
  • You must be a driver or a passenger in a registered motor vehicle or motorbike to attend this clinic. You will not be required to leave your vehicle.
  • For health and safety reasons, please leave your pet at home.
  • Rapid antigen tests are available for household contacts who cannot obtain them from their workplace or where they would experience financial hardship.

Holt Capital Pathology (8am - 12pm)

  • Children of any age can be tested here.
  • This clinic can only be accessed on foot.
  • Parking is available at the centre.
  • People requiring a COVID-19 test and travel certificate prior to departing on an international flight can receive this service at this clinic (see the Capital Pathology website for more information).

Kambah drive-through (8am - 12pm)

  • Children aged five years and over can be tested here.
  • This clinic cannot be accessed from public transport or on foot.
  • You must be a driver or a passenger in a registered motor vehicle or motorbike to attend this clinic. You will not be required to leave your vehicle.
  • For health and safety reasons, please leave your pet at home.
  • People requiring a COVID-19 test and travel certificate prior to departing on an international flight can receive this service at this clinic (see the Capital Pathology website for more information).
