The Covid-19 picture around the world that shows the virus in retreat

The world is starting the long journey back to normality with a number of countries announcing minor easing of lockdown restrictions.

While countries such as France, New Zealand and certain states in the USA are looking at easing restrictions, there are a number of approaches taken by the governments of each country.

And while The Prime Minister has told the UK that we have now passed the peak of coronavirus, the number of people testing positive for the virus continues to rise.

We've looked at the statistics for the ten countries with the most coronavirus related deaths to see whether the number of confirmed cases are going up or down day by day.

The figures are from John Hopkins University as of Saturday morning May 9.

USA
