Guardian US has been named best of show in the online category at the National Headliner Awards - awarded by the Press Club of Atlantic City - for the Counted.
Senior reporters Jon Swaine and Oliver Laughland, plus the wider Guardian US staff, were recognized for their work documenting the the number of deaths resulting from the use of force by law enforcement officers across the US.
The National Headliner Awards program is one of the oldest and largest annual contests recognizing journalistic merit in the US.
