And of course, unsurprisingly you'll find some of them in Glasgow, with two top eateries making the list.

Number 16 Restaurant, Byres Road
This long-established restaurant on Byres Road is not only cosy and stylish but it's ideal for a date night.
Fine dining at, well its finest, the small but perfectly formed menu is filled with tempting offerings created using some of the best ingredients Scotland has to offer.
Widely considered to be one of the best restaurants in the city, its west end location is perfect for a wee stroll in the pretty Ashton Lane for drinks afterwards too.
Alston Bar & Beef, Central Station
