Well I am not really supposed to put it in my diary because the Black and White Ball is the biggest secret which is kind of part of the fun but this year’s was SO special & emosh, I said to Mummy, when you are a victim of hate speech imagine the relief when you walk into a room where nobody is prejudiced against Luxembourg #seriouslyracist & the atmos is totes accepting even if they prefer the vibe in Monaco or Guernsey, what people just do not realise about the one per cent community is it is basically so loyal & close-knit? She was like, kind of like the Amish, I’m like exactly, eg we even said this very beautiful grace by the Reverend Lord Stephen Green, before Peter Stringfellow led us in kumbaya & when we remembered in our prayers all the people who could not make it from the Caymans because they had used up their residency everyone was in bits, btw do we know anyone who might be interested in a full-size bronze of Sir Philip Green as St Francis, paid £15,000 would accept £200? Or a bible signed by the entire 2010 board of HSBC for £35,000 #steal, Dave got a bit carried away?
So the dress code was poverty chic because of having to be so terribly sensitive nowadays so you could get whole table for a little £5,000 if you did not mind sitting near Nancy Dell’Olio #Iknowright & there were no long dresses or champagne :(((( but also no bow ties or Russians :)))) it was SO moving, Dave is right, adversity totally brings out the best in wealth creators, appaz the auction was the best ever, someone paid over two million for a sacred blessing on their personal tax arrangements by a genuine Church of England deacon at the villa of their choice #sleeps30 & literally it was the first time we did not secretly have to buy the chicken dinner experience with the Goveys? Everyone was like, no way will we let Panorama spoil our special night, even that horrid old statuette of Margaret from the downstairs loo went #miracle, which basically proves that God does not want Dave ever to put stamp duty on hedge funds because of the blessed trickle-down effect :)
