The confirmed round dates for the FA Cup, FA Trophy and FA Vase in the 2019/20 season

The new football season is now less than one month away for many clubs across England.

The 2019/20 campaign will begin over the course of the first weekend in August for clubs in the Football League and in non-league football too, while the new Premier League season will begin one week later, with Liverpool and Norwich City kicking off the top flight campaign on Friday, August 9,

But while most Premier League sides will get their season underway on Saturday, August 10, that will be a significant day in the calendar for some non-league sides too, with the extra preliminary round for the FA Cup set to take place on that day.

The Football Association have now confirmed the round dates for the main FA competitions in the 2019/20 season, which includes the FA Cup, FA Trophy and FA Vase.

And although Premier League and Championship sides will not enter the FA Cup until the third round stage in January, non-league clubs will be in action long before that in the prestigious competition, with sides from League One and League Two joining at the first round proper stage in November.

There is a significant change in the competition this season though, with the fifth round being played in midweek in March.
