The confirmed Denmark line-up which could be bad news for Chelsea and Frank Lampard

Andreas Christensen is not in the Denmark squad for this evening's international friendly against Luxembourg.

The Chelsea defender was spotted holding his groin as he limped off during the 1-0 win over Switzerland in an Euro 2020 qualifier on Saturday evening.

Christensen being injured would leave Blues head coach Frank Lampard facing somewhat of a defensive injury crisis as he would be down to just two fit senior centre-backs in Fikayo Tomori and Kurt Zouma ahead of this weekend's Premier League encounter with Newcastle United.

However, Cesar Azpilicueta is also an option as is youngster Marc Guehi, while Antonio Rudiger is back in training, although it remains to be seen if he will be in contention to face the Magpies.

Whilst he was left on the bench for games against Lille and Southampton, Christensen can boast about being part of the back-line which has kept the one and only clean sheet this season.

That came in the 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion last month which remains the Blues' only win at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League thus far.

As of yet there as been no word on the extent of the defender's injury, but him not being involved today isn't a good sign.

Take a look at the confirmed Denmark line-up below.

Christensen did take to social media following Denmark's win, although there was no mention of his injury.

"Great win yesterday," he wrote on Instagram.

In other Christensen-related news, Blues youngster Tino Anjorin said it was an honour to follow in the footsteps of the Denmark international after making his first-team debut last month.

"It was a big moment for me and my family, coming up through the ranks looking up to players making their debuts such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Andreas Christensen," Anjorin told the  Chelsea website .

"It was a big day."
