This book was amazing and far more romantic than I was expecting. It's about a girl called Ellie who is left stranded on a small island. She thinks she is alone until she slowly discovers that the island is haunted by a woman who died 200 years ago whilst looking after the lighthouse there.
Ellie and George's relationship is a very interesting part to this book. Especially because it takes a while to build up to that point as in the beginning George doesn't particularly talk to Ellie or even notice her.
In this book there is a lot of suspense and it takes a while before you realise what's going on. It is a little repetitive but I think that is helpful so that it reminds you a bit of what is going on in case you forgot.
I love this book and it is great to read if you like spooky stories or if you want to try something different. I would definitely recommend this book.
