After a 10-year hiatus Ultima II has been revived by International Beauty Products, the marketing team behind Revlon cosmetics in Thailand.
Revlon and Ultima II were founded in 1932 and 1959, respectively, by American businessman Charles Revson, who positioned the latter as a prestige beauty brand.
Ultima Precious Cream made its debut at high-end department stores in 1959 and was followed in the 1960s by other luxurious formulas, such as Translucent Wrinkle Lotion, Deep Deep Cleansing Foam and Icy-Toning Mist.
The US brand became a pioneer in collagen skincare products, proudly expressed in their slogan: "Your collagen expert from New York."
Collagen along with elastin form a scaffolding that holds up the skin. The decline in structural proteins that result from ageing lead to wrinkling and sagging of the skin. First-generation CHR (Collagen Hydrating Resources) featured concentrates of a soluble form of the protein to replenish its loss and restore a youthful-looking complexion.

Today's formulas contain the even more soluble Procollagen Essence -- a blend of three types of collagen. Intensive treatments are enhanced by marine collagen, Trylagen (a collagen booster supplied by Spanish firm Lipotec) and other skincare technologies.
Ultima II collections include CHR, Procollagen Supreme Caviar and Procollagen Extrema.
A subsidiary of Tempo Scan, International Beauty Products recently introduced Extraordinaire Supreme Precious Collagen serum containing a blend of collagens, peptides, a moisturising complex and lifting technology. The intensive treatment is applied twice a day for 28 days, then on two consecutive days each week.
Iconic make-up collections, such as Wonderwear and The Nakeds, are also available at its counters at Robinson Rama IX, Robinson Rangsit, The Mall Ngam Wong Wan and Siam Takashimaya in Iconsiam.
Ultima II also has counters at Robinson in Chiang Mai and Udonthani, as well as The Mall Korat.
