A Nottingham fish and chip restaurant is embracing Christmas by offering up two festive choices.
Later this month punters at the The Cod's Scallops will be able to order battered brussels sprouts or battered pigs in blankets.
The Cod's Scallops - which has branches in Bramcote Lane, Wollaton, Mansfield Road, Carrington and Tamworth Road, Long Eaton - will be offering up the new Christmas dishes from November 24 to December 24.
In a post on the Facebook page, they said: "Love them or hate them these beauties will be on our menu from 25th November - 24th December inclusive."
Last year, the manager, Christopher Reed, said the idea came about because they wanted to offer something a bit different.
He said: "We do battered pigs in blankets every year but we wanted to try something new and different so we thought we would see if this went down well.
"We take a sprout cover it in flour, batter it and deep fry them - it is as simple as that."
A portion of 10 sprouts is £3.50 and it comes with a cranberry dip.
Last year we tried the battered Brussels sprouts and this was our verdict.
