Nottingham Forest hero is delighted to be back working with the club he loves, he has told supporters in a heartfelt tweet.
The former Republic of Ireland wide man made just under 300 appearances for the Reds during his playing career but has now made a triumphant return.
Reid will link up with ex- City Ground teammate Chris Cohen as part of the under-23s coaching staff at the Nigel Doughty Academy, .
Cohen will now step up to the role of head coach for the Under-23s, with Jimmy Gilligan having left for a new job with the Football Association.
And with his arrival, Reid has send a message to all those on Trentside, .
"I’m absolutely delighted to be back at Forest working with Chris [Cohen] and everyone else there," tweeted Reid .
"And [I'm] also delighted to be able to continue my work with Ireland.
"To help the young players from my country and the club I love is a fantastic honour!"
