'The club have to balance the books' - Cardiff City star on rumours linking Bobby Reid with Bristol City and Fulham

Sol Bamba says Bobby Reid is one of Cardiff City's best players and that he cannot wait for the transfer window to shut.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, the Bluebirds centre-back was speaking about what players think about the transfer window, and pointed to current speculation over Reid's future.

Reid joined Cardiff from Bristol City last summer but today he was linked with a sensational return to the Robins, whilst Fulham are also interested.

Whilst Bamba said he does not want to see Reid leave, he knows the club has to do what is best for business.

He said: "You can always lose a player, the best example now is that Bobby Reid could leave.

"We don't want our best players to leave so we're looking forward to the window closing for sure.

"As a player you know that in the summer or January transfer window anything can happen, you can lose a player or a player can come in.

"So you prepare for that but it's never nice to lose your best players.

"We've got a good squad and we've got a good group together but obviously the club have to balance the books.

"The club have to decide whatever is good for them to move players along."
