The Clippers just leapfrogged the Lakers as NBA title favorites in Vegas

Most NBA experts and fans had seemingly written off the Los Angeles Clippers as a potential destination for Kawhi Leonard in free agency, but the Clippers pulled off a blockbuster trade for Paul George and landed Leonard overnight, instantly becoming title favorites in the process.

The Clippers will part ways with Danilo Gallinari and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, as well as a historic haul of draft picks, the but the organization is now in position to compete for its first NBA championship.

The Lakers became overwhelming betting favorites to win the 2020 NBA title last week, when it was rumored that Leonard may favor joining a Big 3 alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis – but the Clippers’ overnight moves triggered a massive shake-up at sportsbooks.
