The church behind electronic gates you can live in

The opportunity to live in a converted church has arisen, with a rare south Liverpool gem being placed on the market.

The three-bed town house on Devonshire Road West is a stone's throw away from Princes Park. It is accessed via electronic gates and is set back from the road.

Guests are welcomed into the hallway, which features a stunning stone return staircase. The ground floor features a massive open plan living space, with a kitchen, diner and lounge all rolled into one.

The church windows have been retained, adding to the charm. There is also a downstairs WC.

The landing is a real talking point, featuring a large church window with a mezzanine gate. The bedrooms are split over two floors; the first floor has two bedrooms and a family bathroom and upstairs again is the master suite.

There's also an en-suite shower room, a large space which has been revamped to a high standard. The unique house is on the market with Find Your Eden for an asking price of £295,000.

The listing said: "This unique and beautiful conversion combines both elements of past and present and is situated on the fringe of the wonderful Princes Park."

It added that the property has been "lovingly restored and converted" with "attention to detail being paid to the restoration of many of the key elements of the existing building".

Princes Park is Grade II-listed and started life as a private development by Richard Vaughan Yates. It opened in 1842 and influenced its neighbour, Sefton Park.
