Social Welfare recipients are being reminded that payment dates will change every so slightly on Christmas week.
The Department of Social Protection has listed out all the dates you need to know about depending on whether you are getting paid weekly or monthly.
For example, if you are due to get your weekly payment on December 24, you will instead be able to pick it up on December 22.
Here is the full list of payment dates;

Weekly payments
Payment due date - Payment will be made on:
- 21 and 22 December - 21 December (new date)
- 23 and 24 December - 22 December
- 25 December and 1 January - 23 December
Monthly payments
Payment due date - Payment will be made on:
- 24 December - 22 December (new date)
- 25 and 28 December - 23 December
- 29 December - 24 December
- 30 December - 30 December
Payments will be paid on normal dates from January 4, 2021.
