The greatest story ever told has just been given a new telling, via the medium of dogs.
A video recounting the birth of Jesus, made by members of Gellionnen Chapel in the Swansea Valley, features a cast of the congregation's four legged friends.
Thanks to the fact that, pretty much everyone loves dogs (apart from the people who don't), the video has already been viewed thousands of times.
Rhys Castle Jones, a member of the congregation, said: "We are a dog friendly chapel and we have dogs come to our services every Sunday. We also have a dog walking group, the Gellionnen Mountain Mutts, where we go walking once a month, and are joined by people who aren't part of the congregation.
"It's an enjoyable social event and that is where the idea came from. Someone suggested doing the nativity featuring our dogs, and we thought it would bring a bit of festive cheer and bring a smile to people's faces. It was good fun, although a bit chaotic on the day. I'd like to say 'organised chaos', but it was really just chaos.
"We filmed it on the same day we put up the Christmas decorations on the chapel, and we had dogs running everywhere. I thought we might have the odd disagreement, not between the dogs but between the owners, about what roles each dog should have, but, fortunately, there were no clashes."
He said a member of their congregation, Sean Walker, was the man behind the technological side of it.
"We have three whippets so they obviously became the three wise men. Jesus was a small pug cross. The response has been wonderful. People have been getting in touch to say we have made them smile, and it has got them in the festive spirit."

The chapel, meanwhile, continues its pastoral role over the Christmas period, with a candlelit service on Christmas Eve, at 11pm.
It has services every Sunday, and will return on Sunday, January 2. The Gellionnen Mountain Mutts meet for walks once a month. Their next meeting is January 1, at 10.30am.
