The Chiefs welcomed Taylor Swift’s dad Scott to their fan base after he wore a Kansas City lanyard

The Kansas City Chiefs have officially called dibs on Taylor Swift’s dad Scott Swift being one of their fans.

After Mr. Swift was seen wearing a Chiefs lanyard at his daughter’s recent concert in Argentina alongside Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce, the team welcomed him to Chiefs Kingdom on social media on Monday night.

“Welcome to the good side, Papa Swift!” the message from the Chiefs Twitter account read, highlighting that he’s now officially welcome to cheer for Kansas City instead of the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Swifts are from Philadelphia and have historically rooted for the Eagles, but now, it seems like the family’s fandom has started to swing toward Kansas City since their daughter is dating one of the Chiefs’ best players.

The Chiefs have officially made their move to fully convert Scott Swift from Philly to Kansas City, and it may just work out.

We’ll see if Philadelphia has a counter move in place to keep Mr. Swift on its side, or if Kansas City has successfully added a pretty prominent person to the fan base.
