The Chemical Brothers at Glastonbury's Other Stage - review

Off the back of the release of the critically acclaimed album ‘No Geography’, the Chemical Brothers have made a triumphant return to the Glastonbury festival.

The DJ duo headlined the Other Stage for a record breaking fifth time and more than proved tonight why they are Glastonbury veterans.

As you would expect from a Chemical Brothers set, the show was visually spectacular, with awe-inspiring animations on the big screens accompanied by strobes, smoke effects and search lights. Later on in the show, Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands were accompanied on stage by dancing robots, of course.

The show did an excellent job of combining classic rave tunes such as Galvanise and Hey Boy, Hey Girl with some of the newer tracks from the Chemical Brother's latest album, such as Eve Of Destruction, Mad As Hell and Go, the latter of which opened the set and got the huge crowd raving from the start.

Some of these newer tunes have already become rave classics in their own right, as tonight's performance proved. It was a thrilling and dazzling 90 minute set to say the least and one that ranks as one of the Chemical Brother's best performances at Glastonbury.
