Jadon Sancho would not be an automatic starter for Chelsea if he completes a summer transfer.
That's the view of former Blues defender Frank Sinclair.
The Borussia Dortmund wonderkid is a target for almost every top European club including the west London outfit as head coach Frank Lampard looks to bolster his squad even further after the arrival of Hakim Ziyech.
With 14 goals and 15 assists to his name in the Bundesliga this season, Sancho would be a fantastic addition to Chelsea and it's no surprise that his reported price-tag is in the region of £150m.
However, according to Sinclair, the Blues already have a similar player to Sancho in Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The 19-year-old signed a new deal at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season, meaning owner Roman Abramovich and director Marina Granovskaia could save a fortune in the transfer market if they listen to Sinclair's advice.
"Is Jadon Sancho any better than Callum Hudson-Odoi on that left-hand side?" Sinclair queried when speaking to GentingBet.
"When you look at the potential of both players, would you spend close to £150 million, which I’d expect would cost, to bring Jadon Sancho to this country or would you just stick to Callum Hudson-Odoi?
"Personally, I don’t think Jadon Sancho automatically gets into Chelsea’s team."
Sinclair's faith in Hudson-Odoi comes hot on the heels of the Blues wonderkid revealing his targets for the 2020/21 season.
"For me it is an opportunity to show again and keep pushing myself to the max to hopefully have an opportunity to go to the Euros," he told Chelsea TV.
"The Euros is a massive thing and I have big belief in myself and hopefully I will be able to get into the team.
"I just want to make sure that I keep pushing myself every game and every minute and making sure that I keep trying to score goals and make assists and keep trying to help the team as much as possible to get what we want, which is a trophy at the end of the day."
Hudson-Odoi has made 17 Premier League appearances this season, scoring once and weighing in with four assists.
