With Euro 2020 taking centre stage for many football fans, South American's continental competition - the Copa America - has flown under the radar for some supporters.
The tournament which will be hosted by Brazil begins tomorrow (Sunday) and will last almost a month, with the final being held at the Maracanã on July 10.
It was initially set to take place in Colombia and Argentina – but amid social unrest and protests against the government in Colombia and with Argentina going into a nine-day lockdown as Covid-19 continues to ravage the country, Brazil stepped in to host instead.
But there will be a number of familiar faces on show at the tournament for Premier League fans, with a strong contingent of English-based players competing at the finals with the likes of Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia heading to the competition.
That includes a number of London club-based stars who will be at the tournament.
So which players from the capital's clubs will be involved at the Copa America? We take a look below.
Tottenham – 2
Giovani Lo Celso
An often hit and miss player for Spurs, Giovani Lo Celso has been a regular for Argentina over the last few years when fit and available.
He has two goals in his last three matches for the national team and impressed in a recent outing against Colombia.
Lo Celso will take a central role for Argentina at the tournament and Tottenham fans should definitely keep an eye on him.
Davinson Sanchez
Despite patchy form for Tottenham, Sanchez still earned a call-up to the national team squad for the tournament.
The 24-year-old has been an ever-present at the back for his national team when available, alongside Yerry Mina of Everton.
His form has been up and down for Colombia too though – and he was recently involved in a starting 11 that shipped six goals to Ecuador.
Chelsea – 1
Thiago Silva
Despite an injury, Chelsea's Thiago Silva has been called-up to the Brazilian national team for the tournament taking place on home soil.
The Brazilian leader was recently omitted from two friendly squads, but still made the final squad.
Silva is one of Brazil’s most experienced players and a leader on the pitch.
Chelsea will be hoping he does not aggravate his injury at the tournament.
West Ham – 1
Fabián Balbuena
West Ham’s forgotten man may have only featured in just two Premier League games since the turn of the year, but Balbuena is still a valuable addition to his country – Paraguay.
Balbuena should start for Paraguay at the tournament having started three of his country’s last four games, only missing a 2-0 defeat to Brazil.
He will link-up with Newcastle United’s Miguel Almiron, who is also part of the squad.
Arsenal – 0
Surprisingly no Arsenal player has been called-up to the tournament. The likes of Willian, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes could have been eligible to play at the tournament for Brazil – but they have all been shunned by head-coach Tite.
Perhaps Willian’s exclusion is the most surprising though, with Gabriel and Martinelli both set to be involved at the Olympic Games in Tokyo this summer after being named in Brazil's 23-man squad.
