The Chelsea record that is a good omen for Frank Lampard ahead of Arsenal trip

Chelsea have struggled at Stamford Bridge of late.

The Blues have lost three of their last four home matches in the Premier League against teams in the bottom half of the table, with West Ham United, Bournemouth and Southampton all leaving west London with three points.

Chelsea have now lost four home games this season, with league leaders Liverpool beating the Blues 2-1 at Stamford Bridge back in September.

In total, Frank Lampard's men have picked up 14 points from ten home games, with four wins, two draws and four defeats at Stamford Bridge so far this season for the Blues in the Premier League.

That puts them 12th in the table for home form, with the likes of Newcastle United, Burnley, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United all picking up more points than Chelsea at home so far this season.

Liverpool have a perfect record, with nine wins from nine at Anfield, and are top of the table for home form, with Leicester City second with 23 points from ten games, while Tottenham Hotspur have 20 points from ten home matches.

Manchester City are fourth, with 19 points from nine home games, while Manchester United and Everton both also have better records than Chelsea, with 19 and 17 points respectively picked up at home.

But it has been a different story away from home for the Blues, with Chelsea having the third best away record in the division.

Lampard's side have picked up 18 points from nine games on the road in the league this season, with only Liverpool and Manchester City picking up more points away from home.

Chelsea have won six of their nine games away from home, including victories at Wolves, Tottenham and Burnley, all of whom have better home records than the Blues so far this season.

The Blues have lost three times on the road this season - at Manchester United, Manchester City and Everton - but their points haul away from home puts them ahead of Leicester City and Sheffield United, who are fourth and fifth respectively in the table, based on away form, despite the Foxes' 9-0 win at Southampton and the fact that the Blades are still unbeaten away from home.

However, Chelsea's record should serve as a warning for their next two opponents - Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion - who both have picked up fewer points than the Blues at home so far this season.

Arsenal have 13 points from nine home games, while Brighton have picked up 12 points from nine home games, prior to their clash with Bournemouth this afternoon.

However, Arsenal have a good recent record against Chelsea at home, with the Blues only winning one of their last seven matches at the Emirates Stadium in all competitions.
