FIFA statement to impact Ziyech transfer
FIFA released a statement which will have a big impact on when Hakim Ziyech will finally be able to join Chelsea.
The statement detailed action moving forward from world football’s governing body with regards to player contracts. Given that domestic leagues around the world are set to carry on past the usual contract expiration date of June 30, FIFA has relaxed its guidelines to allow clubs the chance to finish their respective domestic campaigns.
In a statement, FIFA said: "Expiring player contracts usually end when the season ends, with a termination date that coincides with the end of the season.
“With the current suspension of play in most countries, it is now obvious that the current season will not end when people thought it would.
“Therefore, it is proposed that contracts be extended until such time that the season does actually end.”
With that in mind, the arrival of Ziyech will be delayed until further notice on when leagues will reach their conclusions.
Carragher praises Kovacic

The now Sky Sports pundit named Kevin De Bruyne, Jordan Henderson and Jack Grealish in his midfield three, but pointed out that Kovacic was nearly selected.
The Sky Sports pundit tweeted: "Huge improvement on last year, some great performances especially first half at Everton where he was outstanding."

History points toward Chelsea move for Telles
Chelsea have been linked with a plethora of full-backs ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, and the record books suggest that Alex Telles could be on his way to Stamford Bridge.
The Porto left-back has been one of the top performers in the Portugese top-flight for a number of years now and Chelsea have been linked with the defender.
Chelsea’s links with the Portuguese club means that they could be likely to land a deal for Telles when the window finally arrives.
Jose Mourinho, Andre Villas-Boas and Ricardo Carvalho all made significant contributions at both Chelsea and Porto, which may lead to future business taking place.
For Chelsea, a move for Telles could be a significant step in the right direction for replacing Marcos Alonso at left-back.
