The Chelsea morning headlines as Terry delivers Sancho verdict and Blues' youngster hails duo

Here's the Chelsea morning headlines for Saturday, March 21.

Tino Anjorin hails duo

Chelsea youngster Tino Anjorin has hailed Blues' coaches Jody Morris and Joe Edwards in preparing him for the step up to the first team at Stamford Bridge.

The teenager made his Premier League debut in the last match before the suspensions, coming on as a second half substitute in the 4-0 win over Everton.

The appearance meant he became the latest of academy graduates to make his Premier League bow under Frank Lampard, but the 18-year-old also credited Morris and Edwards for their role.

They demand so much more of you,” Anjorin told the Chelsea website.

Chelsea's player of the season so far

“You couldn’t have days when you stroll around. If you didn’t train hard, you didn’t play.

"They prepared you for the mentality of first team football. It can be brutal but it helps massively. With Jody and Joe being there now, it makes it still have that academy feeling. It doesn’t feel like a first team and an academy, it feels like one club."

John Terry's Jadon Sancho verdict

Chelsea legend John Terry has said that the Blues should make a summer move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

The England international has impressed in the Bundesliga since moving from Manchester City and is said to be attracting attention from all across Europe and could cost as much as £120 million to buy during the window.

Terry has hailed the youngster and talked up a possible move to Stamford Bridge.

"I think Sancho is one of the best young players in the world at the moment, so he'd be a great addition to Chelsea's squad," the Blues legend said to  Frank Khalid.

"It would make us better as well, but the ones that have come through, the Billy Gilmours, Tammy, Mason, Reece [James], it's endless isnt it? There have been so many positives this season.

"So I think every Chelsea fan, since I came through the ranks, that's all Chelsea fans wanted to see: the youth team players and the younger generation coming through and making their first team debuts. We've seen that in abundance this year."

Potential 2020/21 lineup

Chelsea have been linked with several players ahead of the summer transfer window.

Having not been able to make signings last summer and failing to add to their squad during the January, Frank Lampard has moved quickly by completing the signing of Hakim Ziyech, who will become a Blues player at the end of the season.

Three players have been recently linked from Serie A: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Miralem Pjanic and Lautaro Martinez.

But what could Chelsea's lineup look like with them in the team? Take a look here to find out.

Possible Premier League return date

With the coronavirus pandemic, fans are eager to know just when the Premier League could return to action.

A second date of April 30 has been planned, but that again could be moved should the worldwide situation not improve in that time.

But La Liga chief Javier Tebas, who is also part of the FIFA working committee has suggested that action could be restarted again in May or possibly earlier.

"Given the current situation, we believe we can restart the competitions in mid-May, perhaps during the third week," he said (as reported by the Daily Mail ).

"If circumstances permit, we could bring that forward."
