Here are your Chelsea morning headlines for Sunday, March 29.

Approach for Real Madrid star

Chelsea have made an approach for Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi ahead of the summer transfer window.

That's according to our friends at the Mirror.

Hakimi is actually on loan at Borussia Dortmund this season, but is a target for Blues head coach Frank Lampard who is looking to bolster his defensive options before the 2020/21 campaign.

Chelsea: The season so far

The 21-year-old can operate at full-back on both sides as well as playing as a winger, but could be the answer to Chelsea's left-back problems amid links to Alex Telles and Ben Chilwell.

With that said, the report states that the west London outfit have been informed by Real that they will not make any decisions until this season finally reaches its conclusion.

Bayern Munich are also said to be in the mix for Hakimi who has a release clause of around £50m.

The Borussia Dortmund and England starlet is on the summer wish-list of virtually every top club in Europe.

Transfer battle

Chelsea are ready to battle Arsenal for the signing of Bayern Munich wonderkid Chris Richards.

That's according to the Mirror, as per the Express.

The 20-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Bundesliga giants, but having impressed for the U19's and U23's, he is being tipped for a bright future.

Richards arrived at the Allianz Arena from MLS side FC Dallas for £1m a year ago after impressing during a loan spell, but it's beig reported that there is uncertainty over his future at the club.

Furthermore, it's not just the London pair who are interested in Richards as La Liga duo Barcelona and Valencia are also said to be watching developments closely.

Richards is naturally a centre-back but can also play at right-back.
